Abstract
To investigate the fetal hepatic hemopoiesis, morphometric and morphological studies on the human fetal livers aged from 10 to 38 weeks of gestation were carried cut.
The predominant fora, of the fetal hepatic, hemopoiesis was erythropoiesis, but granulopoiesis and thrombopoiesis were also detected. The numbers of the hepatic ¢¥fiemopoietic cells progressively decreased and almostly disappeared at near-term, while those cf the hepatic parenchymal cells were constant during entire fetal age. The general morphology of the fetal liverwas completed as seen in that of an adult by the end of the seventh month of fetal life.
